Villa Tortuga

Hotel Villa Tortuga, Varadero

Hotel Villa Tortuga Description

On a quiet side street off the main road at the beginning of Varadero village, Villa Tortuga is surrounded by lush vegetation, contributing to its laidback feel. The open layout brings the out doors in, from the reception and lobby bar (with bartenders in smart uniforms), to the low-slung buildings housing the guestrooms.

Next to the main entrance – on the street side – is a captivating terrace where guests enjoy their coffee, espresso or cappuccino.

Located at the center of the property and flanked by palms and gardens, the pool clearly plays the role of protagonist. The adjoining Ranchón – the rustic wooden structure with palm leaf roof – offers cool drinks and snacks. Behind this area lies what Varadero is famous for: a fabulous beach.

In addition to swimming in the sea or pool, there are plenty of other activities. A billiards table is located next to the lobby bar, and you can enjoy non-motorized activities such as kayaking, catamaran sailing and windsurfing, or play volleyball and table tennis.

There are three restaurants (including 2 a la carte), but stroll around the village and you’ll have many other local restaurants to choose from.

Villa Tortuga is a cozy, no-frills, three-star hotel, favored by returning guests looking for these features. However, if you prefer more luxury (4 or more star quality), choose a hotel further north on the peninsula, though the beaches there aren’t superior.

The Superior rooms will not be available until April 30, 2016, due to maintenance works.
